I decided to experiment with Shibori dyeing with indigo today.
I tied marbles and beans in the fabric to make patterns. Indigo is fascinating; when you first take the fabric out of the dye it is a greenish yellow, it turns blue as it oxidizes.
I made three napkins like this, we’ve been sharing one for the last month.
This dark one is Alder’s wall hanging he made, he wouldn’t do the dyeing, it was too stinky for him.
