There was a picnic.

With a view.

Sun and bird cloud
Sunshine, with a magical cloud that only revealed itself in the photo.

Rocks to climb on.

Family photo
Lots of family hugs.

Some flyin’ happened.

This Mama was amazed how grown up her little boy seemed.

And a nice walk home.

The best part of the picnic was a quick garden pesto I made. It was an incredibly warm winter, which means our chard just kept going. Not to mention how big our garlic is getting.

super yum
Chard Pesto

1 1/2 Cups of fresh chard (finely chopped)
1 medium garlic leaf (finely chopped)
1 healthy pinch of sea salt
1/2 lemon squeezed
Olive Oil, mix it as you add it until it looks more like a pesto than a salad

Mix ingredients together and pack in jar (well it’s for a picnic) or let sit for a few hours to “stew”. Serve with fresh bread, cheese, salami, olives and an avocado, some place with a wonderful view.
