It’s only taken six months to unpack the studio. It’s been horribly low on the list of things to do until about a month ago when I just started out of desperation. After five or six long afternoons it’s starting to look like a place to make things.
Alder has been almost as excited as I am for finishing it. So on Sunday when there was finally a place for projects he asked if I would teach him to sew. He must have been thinking about this for some time because he knew that he want to make a pillow with an apple tree on it. He wanted the pillow to be pink, the leaves green and the trunk and branches just “drawn”
