So I have a thing for small, miniatures, pretend landscapes, those Easter eggs that you can look in, even the Nutshell Library version of Maurice Sendak’s stories. As a kid I could spend hours belly on the ground looking at a small section of stream and imagining a world where it was a river the size of the Mississippi. In lower school we had these giant radiators in the gym that were in ancient grates I would spend my recesses imagining life exploring those uninhabited planets. Still when we pause on our adventures I will search out geography of scale to explore. Needless to say when we took Alder to the model train expo today I was more interested in what was around the tracks.
