My parents came out to visit for a long weekend and left yesterday. We had a great time, we did lots of different things around the area, had one dinner out at a fancy restaurant while my sister-in-law babysat. As usual my father found lots of quick improvements that we made on the house. We hiked some, saw some galleries, went to the penny arcade, cooked lots, had tea at a ritzy hotel, I even interviewed my father in one of the Storycorps traveling booths. It was a wonderful visit.
By the time we dropped them off at the airport yesterday afternoon we were all fried. We love our family and spending time with them. But I find more and more that we come away from these get togethers tired and frazzled. [See next post on natural rhythm]
