There is one thing I have learned over the past few years of turmoil, take what ever your situation is and create happiness within it.

When I wake up in the morning I watch the sunrise through pine trees knowing that the sky that is golden hangs over the prairie. When the day is done and the last light leaves the world blue I know that it is dancing on the ridges that are just out of sight. We are new in this place as a family yet we are also following and old tradition of returning home to the family house. We may live differently than Kevin’s parents did but we can hope to improve on this place and bring love and creativity to it. For every loaf of bread we bake and every game we play we are building on the history of this home adding our stories.

Baked

It could be easy for me to spend my time mourning what we left in Vermont, but what would be the purpose? We can’t go back, this is what life has given us and I intend to turn it into the most joyous days of our lives.
