Sugaring as life

It’s been a while since I posted. Happily it’s because we are just so busy lately. I had one post I worked on all last week but it was so long and rambling that I got rid of it. Instead, I’m giving you a few shots from a weekend with family. Including going to the [...]

After a few months of wrestling with this idea I’ve decided to open an etsy shop to sell some of the vintage finds that I have been accumulating.  So In the Wardrobe Vintage will be opening tomorrow morning, barring any power outages or other catastrophies. Come check out our first few items!

A long thought on life, mine

Icicle found during a weekend hike with Alder
Before I met Kevin I lived alone in one of the oldest houses in Durango. It was three room place that I had to go into the basement and tighten the jacks once a week. There was a slant to the floor that would send a ball [...]

This weekend

Alder had a long Saturday playing with Big Dad and Grandma.

the Slog

I am well into the slog of figuring. I haven’t mentioned it here much lately because well it is embarrassing that we have had such a hard time over the last few years. I try really to keep this place happy and thoughtful rather than one to complain in. But I just thought I would [...]

Eat, Count, See, Make, Read, Eat, Make, Make, Eat

Some days our rhythm of mother and son is on track. He is patient with me and my distractions and I with his. For us it has to do with finding activities that we are both engaged in. Endless hours of road building and puppet playing wears thins as the snow, now gray still fills [...]

a new/old tradition

This past Saturday morning I started a new tradition I took an hour by myself with a cup of tea and wrote a few friends letters.
The year I graduated college and was still deciding what I was going to do with my life I spent a lot of time writing and receiving letters. Every day [...]

Week in Review $100

Well, the $100 dollar week is past and I have learned a lot. First off we didn’t make it, we went over by $30. By Friday we were out of veggies and breakfast food. But there was another problem with this challenge in our household. Not only were we eating at home but we were [...]
